Calling Yaoi Roleplayers (open)

Hey guys, I figured it would be nice to have one of these set up and organized (though I might edit it periodically) so that if and when I am heavily seeking RP partners they can have a place to reference my rules and the like.

I'm currently looking for something to ship so I can get motivated to draw my OWN characters again. 

Ideally, a long term YAOI RP partner!

My poor babies are feeling so neglected.  I have well over 100 and am always open to making new ones as well, and have a few lying around that I have been DESPERATE to find proper partners for, for years now so, here's hoping *crosses fingers*

First of all I want to make it clear that I ALWAYS prefer to RP either in skype or google docs.  They are the places I can stay the most organized.  I will admit once upon a time I preferred AIM >> But nobody uses it anymore and it hates my internet connection, but if you ONLY have aim we can try and work it out. 
I am a rather busy person so there might be times that I vanish for a few days at a time, but if you can catch me online, I am as much into instant gratification as the next girl.  In other words I enjoy several posts per day IF we are online at the same time, but I also understand if you cant RP with me for a few days.

Now, onto the important stuff:

BECAUSE I prefer slightly more instant gratification, and I find that dragging out posts for the sake of making them long can lead to them feeling forced instead of organic, I'm not looking for every post to be a novel.  In fact incredibly long posts stress me out because I, in return, feel pressured to make a long post even if the situation doesn't call for it.  This doesn't mean I don't enjoy a longer one when the situation calls for it.  I prefer posts that are between 2 and 3 paragraphs long at the most, and the paragraphs aren't a full page of type before breaking. 

Obviously this is a case by case basis, again there are times where a situation calls for a longer post, or an incredibly short post.  Especially in real time RP I have no problem with this at all.  And there are always exceptions to this.  One of the people I'm RPing with now is very talented and I really enjoy their long posts.  (still feel pressured to make mine long too though LOL)

Third person paragraph, past tense.  This is an area I don't really compromise.  There is something about first person or present tense that just rubs me the wrong way.  I think it makes the situation too personal.  I want to write a story of my characters, I don't want to actually be the character.  I am also looking for semi literate.  A spelling error here and there, or grammatical issue from time to time is fine, but if its completely chock full of errors I can find this incredibly distracting.  So the test I suppose is, do you know the difference between there, they're and their?  Too, to, and two?  If you do then you're probably fine.

OVER 18 ONLY:  Honestly I'd ideally like to only RP with people 21 and older.  I'm old enough now that it just feels strange RPing with anyone younger than that... also when things get smutty I want to be sure I'm not breaking any laws Oo.  I also prefer to play with girls.  Honestly, >> everyone in DA is a girl my head... no idea why, but its another one of those when things get smutty, I feel a bit weird doing them with a boy. 

Please understand!: I get that not all writing styles mix well.  Please please do not be offended if we do a test run and then I politely decline RP with you.  I will offer you the same courtesy if you  decide we are not working together from your side.  I do usually know pretty quickly if an RP partner is going to work out so don't think if we've been RPing intensively for 2 months that I'm just gonna cut you off.     If we've been RPing that long its because I'm enjoying it.

Artists:  I am going to be HONEST... if I like your art style >> I'm probably going to be more likely to want to RP with you.  But I've RPed with lots of people who don't draw at all.  This is NOT a requriement.  >>  But I like pretty art so I'm biased LOL. 

Visuals: If you have some kind of visual of your character, that is also going to play a huge factor.  I like to know what the characters I'm playing with look like.  These can be drawn by you or adopts.  Please, no links to unauthorized artworks as "your characters"  If I am RPing with someone who lists someone else's character as their "OC" I WILL STOP RPING WITH YOU.  >>  You can say "his hair kinda resembles this picture", but please don't steal someone elses character design all together.

Do's and Dont's:
  Yaoi... obviously
  Will do smut as long as both sides agree
  Will do characters 16+
  Will do relatives through marriage (For example, step brothers, step father...)
  Will do mild violence and gore
  Will do Kemonomimi (animal feet, or patterned skin are okay too)
  Will do OCS!  in fact I rp almost exclusively OCs
  Will do  angst and drama
  Will LOVE to do romance

Won't do weird weird fetishes, like Vore, fecal fetishes, diaper fetishes etc....
Won't do full on anthro.  (you know 50% animal or more.  If they have a snout, are covered completely in fur or a horse penis its going a bit far for me)
<14 is a no go.  ABSOLUTELY nothing younger.  At least not as main characters.  (side characters okay)
Won't Do Mpreg  (I just think its weird.  But its another one of those case by case basis things.  If you can convince me it makes sense in the RP it will probably be okay)

Anything else regarding do's and don'ts please don't be afraid to ask me.

Settings:  I enjoy most settings.  Modern slice of life, fantasy, scifi, horror, somewhere in between...  I particularly enjoy fantasy universes where a  good part of the world is oblivious to the fantastical.  Two of my characters that I REALLY want to use pretty much require an oblivious human to play properly.  I like building worlds, but love building them with someone else.  RP is about compromise in my head. 

What I am ACTIVELY seeking, is someone with a farmboy that lives in the middle of nowhere modern to interact with an alien that is failing to blend in, or someone who has a reason to take a stray cat home from a graveyard. 


My last request is that you hold your own weight.  I like to RP with more than one character, as it helps keep things interesting and helps keep a plot going.  I'd really love it if you were able to introduce more too.  I've had as many as 3 side plots going in one RP before.  It was fun and when we stared to get tired of one pairing, we'd move to the next.  Please, as I said before, try to keep posts a reasonable length when possible.  If your entire RP is one liners, its probably not going to work out.

I WILL NOT TOLERATE: POINTLESS God modding.  I suppose I should clarify.  I think the no god modding rule can be a little silly.  There are exceptions to every rule and I lump god modding in with them.  If, for example, a high speed super strong vampire, is approaching a human from behind in deadly silence that has NO idea they are there, its pretty safe for that demon to grab them from behind and bite down on their shoulder.  This is making an assumption that your character is able to do something to other said character.  If you continue in an 8 paragraph post that involves him ripping said human to shreds and raping him without any option to retaliate, this is unacceptable.  Another example would be if a character has a reason to control or manipulate a character in some way, make that information clear so the RP partner can play off of it.  Say you are an Incubus with a certain sexy draw.  Rather than writing out how the other character responds to that, make clear the ability so that the character has the opportunity to respond to that?  Make sense?  Again if you have any other questions please let me know.
